Belief in One God and Setting Up No Partners With Him (God)

When you believe in One God, the Creator God, it is important that you make sure that you are not worshiping anything else along with The One and Only God. That means, no sons, daughters, relatives, angels, devils, fallen angels, idols (American or otherwise), plants, nature, or any other of God's actual creations, even worshiping yourself is a kind of setting up partners.

We really need to dig deep into our hearts and make sure that we aren't doing this, because it's easier to do than we think. If we choose to do something wrong, for example, over doing something right, even when we know that what we're doing is wrong, then that is a kind of making ourselves more important than God.

Sometimes we will struggle (and we all have to) to overcome these stubborn things, but overcome we must!

We must never think that any human being and other creation can be One with God. That concept is found in several sects and cults, but it is a false idea and can never happen. We can be close to God, but not One with Him. We can strive to be his servants and strive to do what He says to do, but we can't be Him. So, we need to know this for sure... we can never be One with God... or have God in Us, literally.

Yes, we can have Godliness (meaning, we can be religious and care about religion) within us, but not actually God!

Worship God, The Creator only and place no partners at all with Him. That is what Islam is all about, so anything else you may have heard is not the True Islam.

The Downright Basics

The downright basic ideology in Islam is very simple: Belief in One God. The only One Creator of the universe, including the heavens and the earth.

Different people give Him different names, and while we say "HE", In Islam God is neither male or female, but whatever name you use in your language... it's the same. One God. In Islam we say "Allah", meaning the One and Only God (that's all it means, no mysterious reason, no amazing miraculous thing. Just "The One and Only God"....
